Dubai Summer Surprises begins on June 22

The 14th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) that will begin on June 22 is expected to attract more visitors from the GCC, according to Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), as Dubai is seen as a secured destination.

“We are expecting an increased number of visitors from the GCC which has traditionally been a target market for DSS and we’ve earmarked a budget of Dh50 million to Dh55 million for this year’s DSS which runs for five weeks,” Laila Suhail, CEO of DEPE, was quoted as saying by 'Khaleej Times'.

“Dubai Summer Surprises runs from June 22 to July 31 this year in view of the holy month of Ramadan that is slated to begin in August,” said Suhail.  “The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment has planned a whole summer calendar of activities under the campaign ‘Summer in Dubai’ including Dubai Summer Surprises, Modhesh World, Ramadan in Dubai, and Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Fitr.
