Eid Al Adha on November 16

Saudi Arabian authorities announced the annual Haj pilgrimage will start on November 14 and Tuesday (November 16) will be the first day of Eid Al Adha, according to media reports.

After official astronomers confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon, which decides the start of the month of Dhul Al Hijja, the Supreme Court declared Sunday to be the first day of that month, the official SPA news agency reported.

Officials expect about two million people to perform the Haj this year.
