Dubai is all set to welcome Eid Al Adha with a host of festivities lined-up for residents and visitors alike, and different departments of Dubai Municipality are working round the clock to provide the best services to the public and to ensure utmost safety.

Eid Musallahs and public areas are cleaned up and many entertainment activities have been lined up in public parks.

Rigorous food control measures are put in place and inspections of foodstuff establishments are intensified in the emirate, according to Sultan Ali Tahir, Head, Food Inspection Section, Food Control Department. Food inspectors are not leaving anything for chance. They are keeping a close vigil on restaurants and cafeterias, he added.

Ahmed Hassan Shammari, Head of Dubai Abattoirs section, said as usual the department has ensured hygienic activity in abattoirs during the Eid holidays. He said that a strict check is done at every stage of the preparation of meat items.

Public Parks and Horticulture Department has prepared a line-up of entertainment programmes to attract visitors to the public parks during the Eid holidays. There are six large parks and around 100 residential parks across the emirate.

Similarly, the general maintenance department has renovated and developed a number of swimming pools in different parks, with special care given to the safety and hygiene aspects and the maintenance of public toilets.

Also, a number of technical employees have been put into emergency duty.
