An Emirati family vacationing in nearby Oman found their four-month-old boy dead in their hotel room and became suspicious when they noticed his skin was bluish, a UAE newspaper reported on Thursday.
The family from Fujeirah was in Salalah for Eid Al Fitr, when thousands of citizens from the UAE and other Gulf countries head for the southern Omani province to escape the scorching summer heat. The body was discovered by the boy’s grandmother, according to the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej.
It said police were still investigating the cause of the baby’s death.
