Emirati kills mum at Fujairah farm

A 24-year-old Emirati man killed his mother while holidaying at their farm in Fujairah by hitting her on the head with a sharp object following an argument, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The woman, in her 40s, her son and other members of the family had left home in Abu Dhabi for a week end holiday at their farm in Muraisheed area in the eastern emirate when an argument erupted at the farm, the Arabic language daily Al Bayan said.

“He lost his temper and hit her on the head with a sharp object. She was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but died just after arrival,” the paper said, adding that the son was arrested by the police in Fujairah.
