Enoc will not hike prices

Says shortage is due to ongoing maintenance at 170 stations

Enoc will not raise fuel prices, said a top official of the company.

The clarification comes amid petrol shortage in some of its outlets. Khalid Hadi, Director of Media and Corporate Communications, Enoc, told 'Al Bayan', that fuel shortage in some of its stations was due to the upgrade operations the company is carrying out at its 170 stations. As most of these outlets have six to 10 pumps, it has been taking a long time and hence the delay.

The firm has completed about 35 per cent of the upgrades and maintenance work in most of the outlets in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, he added.

Upgrades at Duabi outlets will take at least a month to be completed.

They're trying to build more shops in the station so other outlets can open and they get rent which will compensate for losses from fuel.

OK, if it was upgrade, please accept that is very poor planning. Any child would know that you can't upgrade all 170 stations in the same month. If that is not the case, come forward and tell us the truth.

What upgrades? You have to "upgrade" 170 stations at the same time?

We shall wait and see if there's really no price hikes after these 'chaos'.
