A major accident has been reported on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road in the direction of Abu Dhabi.
According to eye witnesses, the accident happened near the Fairmont Hotel.
Tweets reporting the accident appeared around 4pm. “Huge crash on Sheikh Zayed Road heading towards Dubai, 3km before the border,” tweeted somebody by the handle @DaisyRadio2. The some person tweeted that traffic had piled up until Garhoud Bridge.
The accident has yet to be confirmed by the police.
