The car whose woman driver was injured by a piece of iron falling from a truck moving in the opposite direction, on Sharjah-Dhaid road. (Supplied)
A 46-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries in road accident on the Sharjah-Dhaid road.
Maj. Abdul Rahman Hamad Al Owais, head of Sharjah’s Traffic and Patrols Department (Central Region), said: "A police patrol and an ambulance were rushed to the scene of the accident and the woman was taken to a hospital in Dhaid.”
According to the police, a piece of iron fell from a truck travelling in the direction opposite to that of the woman’s car and pierced its front glass window, injuring her.
