Fire guts Ajman nuts warehouse

Ajman Civil Defence put out a fire that gutted a warehouse of nuts in the emirate early on Friday.

The fire burnt the entire warehouse but did not result in any causality.

Lt. Col. Nasser Rashid Al Zarri, Head of Ajman Civil Defence’s Media and Public Relations Department, said that they had received the report at 1.26pm and teams were rushed to the site of the fire within few minutes.

“Our team handed the site over the police fire experts for further investigations,” he said.

Lt. Col. Al Zarri urged owners of warehouses to install fire detecting systems and manual fire extinguishers and to make sure of its validity regularly.
