Fuel supply shortage in Emarat petrol stations

The Emarat petrol distribution company announced that some of its 200 stations in Dubai and Northern Emirates are facing supply shortage of fuel (special Benzene).

The company spokesperson told Al Bayan that “the shortage is due to technical issues related to the process of unloading cargo from ships to tanks in Jebel Ali".

The company confirmed that the shortage that began several days ago may continue for a few days more as it would take about 'a week to fix the bug'.

Meanwhile, other distributors such as Enoc, Epco and Adnoc denied any shortage in the supply of fuel across the stations in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Khalid Hadi, Director of Information and Marketing of Enoc said, "All fuel stations of Enoc and Epco is functioning normally and is able to provide various types of fuel without any problems."

This problem will continue regardless of the maintenance. The sole cause of the losses is selling petrol at Dh 2.0 per gallon. The real solution will be to sell petrol at internationl prices.
