Global Village opens after temporary rain closure

Dubai's Global Village which was closed to the public temporarily due to bad weather, will open again today at 4pm.

According to a top official, the closure was a precautionary measure to ensure safety of visitors and thousands of individuals who work at the site, according to an Al Bayan report.

Global Village CEO Saeed Ali Bin Redha commented, “The health and safety of our thousands of visitors, staff and exhibitors working at the Global Village is always our number one priority. Because of the weather forecast we have taken the decision in advance to close the Global Village as a temporary measure.'

However, now with the rain abating and the sun threatening to come out and warm the holiday mood further, Global Village will open today again at 4pm.
