Horror as two die after sticking their heads out of a car in Dubai

A tragic accident on Sunday evening claimed two lives and injured six others in Al Warqa area of Dubai.

According to a report in ‘Emarat Al Youm’, the accident that occurred in a sandy area killed two Emirati youths – a male and a female –who were sticking their heads over the roof hatch of their car when it flipped over.

Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen said the car carrying eight people turned turtle at about 7.50pm, when the driver lost control.

Rescue teams were dispatched immediately but they found it difficult to access the because of the sand. The injured Arab and Asian girls in the vehicle, aged between 18 and 23, are being treated for their injuries, he added.

The deaths are a result of abusing traffic rules and ethics, said the official and urged families to protect children while onthe roads.
