How a girl held by ‘vice’ gang escaped

An Asian girl, who was held by a gang of men and allegedly forced into vice, managed her own escape by throwing bits of papers from her window seeking help.

She wrote her phone number and the word ‘help’ in English on the pieces of paper that she threw down on to the street from the room where she was being held in Sharjah, reported Al Bayan.

A 20-year-old man who picked up a piece of paper called the number. But he could not understand the language she spoke, so he gave the paper to his colleague.

The second person contacted her and she briefed him about her situation saying that she was being held by a gang of men and forced into vice activities.

He informed police, who raided the place and rescued the girl.

Two men and a woman were also arrested from the place.

Sharjah criminal court is hearing the case.
