Indecent exposure: 'Underwear' shopper nabbed at Dubai Mall

Dubai police arrested a 20-year-old Emirati caught walking half-naked inside Dubai Mall along with two friends at dawn, press reports said on Tuesday.

The man, a public servant, was remanded in custody for interrogation by the prosecutor on charges of committing “an obscene act openly”, Emarat Al Youm Arabic language daily said, quoting Dubai’s CID chief Brigadier Khalil Al Mansoori as saying.

He said the man was caught early Monday by the mall’s security men as he walked inside the mall with a small short while the upper part of his body was naked.

“He was referred to the prosecutor while his two friends were not prosecuted as they had clothes on…he could not give any reason for his behaviour apart from saying it was a reckless act on his part…many visitors to the mall expressed resentment at his act.”
