International Criminal Court judge praises UAE legal system

Howard Morrison, one of the judges of the International Criminal Court, has declared that the legal system of the UAE is in line with international laws that lead to the achievement of justice and the rule of law.

He made the statement during his participation in a conference concerning criminal and international humanitarian law in the Arab Gulf region, entitled "Necessity or Choice", organised by the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Experts under the patronage of Dr. Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice.

Morrison went on to say that the economic and social development being witnessed by the UAE reflects the evolution of its judicial system. He added that the UAE is a country with peace and security and is a meeting point in the Middle East and has become a model for peaceful coexistence of different nationalities and cultures.
