Major Sharjah road partially closed

The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (DPW) will launch from today road reconstruction and work on a new road leading to schools in Al Maleeha area.

Speaking to Gulf Today, Amal Al Khamis, director of Road Maintenance at the DPW, said the duration for constructing the new road will be 45 days from the day of commencement of work.

To complete the renovation work, the Al Muwailah Road will be partially closed, particularly the area connecting Delhi Private School and Millennium School till September 6.

“Road traffic will be diverted to alternative routes and motorists coming from Al Muwailah towards Sheikh Khalifa Road should use the inner diverted route that starts from Delhi Private School leading to Millennium School,” Al Khamis was quoted as saying in the report.
