An Arab woman is on trial in Abu Dhabi on charges filed by her ex-husband that she committed adultery during their marriage after she saw her in a mobile phone film given to him by a friend, press reports said on Tuesday.
Although the film was submitted to court, the woman denied she was in the film and that she travelled to her home country after her divorce before returning to the UAE because of pregnancy.
She told court she returned to Abu Dhabi to register the new baby in his father’s name.
An expert appointed by the criminal court in Abu Dhabi found that the woman having sex in the film has a strong resemblance to the defendant, the Sharjah-based Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said.
“The case was adjourned after the defendant’s lawyer said he needs time to discuss the film with the expert,” the paper said.
