Man convinced not to divorce his 3 wives at once

The Community Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah convinced a man not to divorce his three wives at once.

A consultant was able to figure the causes of this case and convince the husband to change his mind about divorcing his three wives.

He explained that the reason for the dispute was that the second wife rejected the third marriage of her husband and stood against him.

The Consulting Community Services Department confirmed to ‘Al Roeya’ newspaper that because the husband sought consultation, it prevented the issue from getting bigger and going to the courts.

It is difficult to solve these kind of cases, because of wounded pride of one of the parties will be involved thereby forgetting the feelings of affection, love and respect.

According to the administration, the total adversarial and telephone counselling provided since its launch in early 2011 until the end-March was 19,666.

The counselling provided was free and contributed significantly in solving a lot of family disputes before it could go to the judiciary.

The management witnessed complex and difficult family problems were the advisors and counselors made their best efforts to solve all problems without any social or psychological damage to the husband or wife or children.

In another case, the department successfully helped persuade an Arab woman against contemplating suicide as she had issues with her husband and appeared desperate.

According to the administration, family counselling has helped many couples solve their differences within the framework acceptable to all involved parties, as well as warning them from letting their problems snowball into bigger issues that may lead to divorce.
