A taxi nosedived into another vehicle on the roundabout in front of Business Bay Metro Station, seaside, at around 2pm this afternoon which caused traffic at that exit to slow down.

"The taxi came from Sheikh Zayed Road, ran over the flowers on the roundabout and then flew right into the tyre of our vehicle," tells the driver of the car that was hit.

There were no injuries in either vehicle involved. "The passenger next to the taxi driver was stopped by the airbag.

"We were lucky; if the taxi had not hit the tyre but a little higher we would have been dead,” says the driver who sat in the car with another passenger.

The vehicle of the taxi driver was completely damaged at the front.
