The Dubai Criminal Court on Sunday heard a case where AAM, 28, an Egyptian housewife, of forging a marriage certificate of the relevant authorities of Egypt and attested by the Foreign Affairs and the Justice Ministries of the UAE. She then submitted it to the Dubai Courts knowing it was a forgery.
KHS, 31, an Emirati Security Guard, testified before the Prosecution that his wife two months after their marriage informed him that she was pregnant.
She was more than two months pregnant and the man denied fathering the child.
The wife filed a parental claim with the Dubai Courts and submitted a marriage certificate that showed a date earlier than their actual marriage
The husband denied any knowledge about an Egyptian marriage certificate and said he did not give her any power of attorney to on his behalf.
