Public Prosecutor in Ras Al Khaimah is investigating a case wherein a European resident has alleged that wrong diagnosis by a medical centre in the emirate has led to permanent disability in her leg and, therefore, she cannot walk normally, reported ‘Emarat Al Youm’ daily.

The medical reports confirm the woman suffered a broken leg in a fall. She alleged that she approached a medical centre in Ras Al Khaimah for treatment but the doctor made a wrong diagnosis, despite X-Rays by specialists at the centre. And that, according to her, led to the atrophy in her muscles, and inability to walk normally.

She alleged that she was administered the wrong medication for her condition, and that she continued to receive treatment at the center for a year, which led to the deterioration of her health, and the bones healed in the wrong place.

The patient suffered from permanent disability in her leg and now walks with the help of a walker, the report added.
