Meet the social media winners

A number of social media users who participated in the fiercely contested digital competitions through various platforms of Gitex Shopper 2016 Spring edition won prizes ranging from gift vouchers, television, smartphones etc. on Day 1 of the four-day event.

“We have been running a special social media contests to promote Gitex Shopper and the response has been tremendous,” said Lorraine Parakel, Online Content and Community Executive at the digital communications company, Essentiallyprecise.

“In a few contests spreading over a month, there were hundreds of participants and today we have distributed prizes to about 15 winners. Altogether, 36 social media participants in these contests have emerged winners from several thousands who participated,” she said.

Nitish Devadiga won a Samsung Television, while Kiran Kunder won a smartphone.

Naimesh Vijaysingh Sajpal, Shitqal Shroff, Johann Misquitta, Deira Aloma Cota, Elena Mavlitova, Noor Haider, Renu Lalwani and Cheryl Slaeem won gift vouchers.

In addition, 26 winners get free entry at Gitex Shopper 2016.

“I have been keenly following the social media updates of Gitex Shopper and took part in all the contests. I am happy to have won the gift voucher and I will decide what to buy after scanning the shopping floor,” said Daria Aloma Cota, an Indian woman from Goa, who came to receive the prize with her husband and two kids.
