Mild earthquake recorded in Fujairah; no damages reported

A mild earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter Scale was recorded in Dibba, Al Fujairah early yesterday, without causing any damage.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said that the tremor was recorded at 7:23 am. It also added that it was at a depth of seven kilometers and to the north of Dibba, Al Fujairah and it had no effect inside the city.

"The centre did not receive any phone calls from the population regarding the tremor or its effect in the area," said the NCMS.
