Mohammed attends English Guineas at Newmarket racecourse in UK

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the 2000 English Guineas Classic at Newmarket racecourse.

He was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.

Godolphin team was crowned the champion of the sixth round of the English Guineas race of one-and-quarter mile distance.

The team was represented by the ‘Best of Times’ colt under the supervision of trainer Saeed bin Surur and jockeyed by Jimmy Spenser.

The trophy was received by Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, on behalf of the Godolphin team.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's ‘Mutasayed’ colt finished first in the final round of the race of one-mile distance, led by rider Powell Hagan.

Meanwhile, Godolphin team came second in the main round of the Group One of one-mile distance.
