Multiple accidents slow Dubai commute

Multiple accidents were reported on Dubai roads on Wednesday morning, slowing down morning commute for office-goers.

At 8.30am, Traffic Dubai tweeted: “Major accident on SMBZR (Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road) near Airport Rd / Al Khawaneej Road intersection towards Abu Dhabi causing congestion.”

Around the same time, another accident was reported on Al Khail road. “Major accident reported on E44 Al Khail Rd after Latifa Bin Hamdan Street interchange towards Abu Dhabi. Please drive very carefully.”

At around 8.45am, another traffic watchdog tweeted, “Four separate crashes on E22 Abu Dhabi Khalifa Bin Zayed street, about 100 metres apart.”

Around 9am, Dubai Police reported an accident in Bur Dubai. “Traffic accident in Al Shindagha Tunnel towards Bur Dubai. Heavy congestion reported,” reads the tweet on its official handle.
