Two people died in separate traffic-related accidents on New Year’s eve in Dubai.
At 2.30am, a pedestrian in Discovery Gardens was run over by a car. The deceased woman’s nationality is not yet ascertained.
At 7am another person who was driving a Toyota Yaris died when his car collided with a Dubai Municipality truck.
The deceased was behind the heavy vehicle when he rammed into the truck.
In yet another near-fatal mishap, at 6am a car collided with a bicycle in Al Naif area. The cyclist was rushed to hospital with a serious injury to the head.
