Residents of some buildings in the new residential development Queue Point will have to wait before they can connect to the World Wide Web, as the internet connection has not been completed.

It concerns five buildings, and the connection will be established shortly, confirmed Al Mazaya Real Estate, a subsidiary of Mazaya Holding and developer of the new community.

“At present the total number of buildings up and running is 25, of which only five remaining plots are pending regarding internet connection. Due to unforeseen complications featuring numerous authorities and stakeholders this connectivity procedure for the five remaining plots lasted longer than anticipated,” a statement sent to ‘Emirates24|7’ reads.

Some residents of the concerned buildings were surprised to find there was no internet connection as they moved in, because they were presented the same property as including a connection.

“The real estate agent that showed me the apartment told me that there was an internet connection, all I had to do was visit Du. When I visited Du, I was told that the building was not connected at all,” said a new resident to the community.

According to Al Mazaya Real Estate it is only a matter of days until these buildings will be provided with a connection, as inspections had been carried out by Du.

For two of the buildings, a final inspection was conducted on July 13, with the promise that a connection would be established within two days. At another building an inspection was carried out on July 14, and connection would follow within two days.  Finally, the two remaining buildings were anticipated to be connected within a week, explained the developer.

“We understand that any delay is inconvenient, especially when it affects internet connectivity.  As a result of the recent developments and in light of the complex nature of this issue, we are confident our clients will be satisfied with this outcome,” they noted.

“Clients wishing to discuss broker misrepresentation are encouraged to contact Rera.”

Queue Point is a new development in Dubailand, offering a wide range of relatively affordable 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Once fully completed Queue point will have 39 plots.
