Hiding in a wardrobe did not save a Chinese woman from a gang of robbers.

Aksofeen Shin, 41, testified before the Dubai Courts that on October 17, 2009, at around 2am someone knocked on door of the house.

The women got scared and hid in various parts of the house.

“I hid in the wardrobe and got scared when I realised that three men had broken into the house. One of them opened the wardrobe and dragged me out. He threatened me with a knife and forcibly took my gold ring. The other two stole mobile phones, a gold bracelet and cash,” she told prosecutors.

“When I resisted  they threatened me with the knife and the ran away,” she said.

Police lifted finger-prints of ASA and FMA from outside and inside the house and identified the two, since they have a criminal record.
Later, the police also arrested ASA,20, an Emirati student and matched DNA and human tissue cells from the victim’s house to the suspect.

The police also arrested AHM, 30, a jobless Pakistani and the victim identified his as one of the attackers in an identification parade.
The Court adjourned the case for verdict till December 30.
