A group of UAE-based Indian investors are planning to open two schools in the country.

Nine new Indian schools are in the pipeline in different cities in the Gulf region, including the above mentioned two schools in the UAE, said a group of Non-Resident Indians who have formed the Sadbhavana Group to promote quality education for expatriate students.

After the launch of the first Sadbhavana World School, located in Calicut Kerala, the group have announced a plan to start nine new schools modeled on the international school model.

“We will be setting up nine new schools in the Gulf region including two new schools in the UAE. There is still a shortage of seats for Indian curriculum students. We hope to complete the first new school by next year,” said Amir Thayyil, Managing Director, Sadhbhavana Holding Private Ltd.

“The plan is to complete nine new schools across the Middle East region within next four years,” he added.  The new schools will be in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.

The group members who have diverse expertise in industry and services have combined their skills and detailed research reports prepared by some top educational experts from India.

“It was in 2008 that we decided to set up a school with a difference and the first school is doing well in a 56-acre campus which is part of an integrated township. Having achieved the quality benchmark in India, we are all planning to replicate the success in the international soil,” said K P Shamsudeen, part of the Sadbhavana Group from the UAE.

“We will have our second school in the UAE because we all hail form the UAE and there is an urgent need for affordable quality education. We believe in an international outlook with an Indian heart to the new schools,” he added.

KV Shamsudeen, financial expert and director of Sadbhavana said the Education World Ranking has listed Sadbhavana World School in Calicut as within the top ten international schools in India.
