His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister and chairmen and members of the charitable and humanitarian organisations in the UAE, at Zabeel Palace on Monday evening. They congratulated him on the advent of the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohammed commended relentless efforts and dedication the relief agencies are making to extend a helping hand to those in need internally and externally based on Prophet Mohammed's [PBUH] saying 'He who guides to charity will have the same reward of the good-doer'.

The humanitarians said they were grateful to God for the bounty he granted to UAE and its people and for the wise, generous leaders who exhort them to do charity and benevolence.

They added that they considered the leadership's instructions as a lantern that lights their path to aid those in distress, feed the hunger, cure the patient and to shelter the homeless in different parts of the world.

They asserted that the UAE is well and our community is full of white hands and kind hearts. According to them, the UAE people are rich with their humanity, religion, and Arab and Islamic morals.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,

Chairman of Al Maktoum Charity Foundation, and a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.

After performing Maghreb prayer, Sheikh Mohammed hosted an iftar banquet in honour of his guests.
