Traffic jam on Sheikh Zayed Road; expect delays

Reports of an accident on Sheikh Zayed Road has stalled traffic on the major highway, Monday afternoon.

No confirmed details have emerged on the accident as yet, but heavy congestion is being reported heading into Dubai, with tailbacks extending towards Mall of the Emirates, from Interchange one.

An eyewitness reported that he has been waiting in the traffic jam for over an hour, but has yet to reach the accident site, having only crossed a few 100 metres in that time.
