Two charged with raping mentally challenged boy

The Dubai Criminal Court has adjourned the case of an Indian and a Pakistani accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old mentally challenged student, until next month.

The defence lawyers submitted their memorandums to the court presided over by Judge Hamad Abdullaif Abdul Jawad.

In a previous hearing the accused, identified as BKM, 26, and YR, 34, both tailors, denied the accusation.

As per the Prosecution sheet, the victim MSA went to a grocery behind the Iranian hospital.

A man spoke to him, showed him a pornographic film on a mobile and asked him to come with him to see more.

He took him to a house and raped him.

On December 13, 2009, the father of the victim got worried when his son did not return for sometime and when the victim finally returned he was scared.

The victim told his sister what happened.

The father complained to police and the victim told police that an Indian tailor had earlier sexually abused him, but did not rape him.

Police arrested YR and the victim identified him as the culprit.

Police also arrested BKM, who resides in the neighbourhood.

BKM confessed that he had sex with the victim with his consent for Dh20. A medical report proved that the victim was raped and is mentally challenged.
