UAE Exchange, the leading global remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, unveiled its first ever “women-powered” branch at the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA), United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is a first-of- its-kind initiative in the UAE by any exchange house and is also in line with the vision of the UAE Federal Government in bringing gender equality.

The unique branch, served and supervised by women, was inaugurated by Promoth Manghat, CEO of UAE Exchange Group.

Speaking during the inauguration, Promoth Manghat, Chief Executive Officer, UAE Exchange Group, said: “Women have become an integral part in building stronger economies across all sectors today. We too have been encouraging the participation of women across various spheres in the organisation.

Opening of the women-powered branch is a part of our overall strategy in empowering women with leadership roles. We believe that this initiative will be a stepping stone in nurturing the career aspirations of the women.”

“We constantly endeavour to innovate. This pursuit has led us to become the first exchange house to operate an all-women branch in the UAE. Right from heading the branch to managing the counter to cleaning of the branch, every aspect will be managed by a team of women employees. The branch will be operational like any other branch in the country and will provide customised financial solutions to all customers,” added Abdel Kareem Alkayed, Country Head – UAE Exchange, UAE.

Simana Santhan, Branch Head of the women-powered branch, said: “The launch of this remarkable initiative is a great moment of pride for us. Women are a very important part of the economy and society, and I am very proud of UAE Exchange for encouraging and empowering us. I am looking forward to working with my team to set high standards of service excellence.”

On the same day, UAE Exchange also opened another outlet at The Outlet Village in Dubai, taking the total branch count to 148 in the UAE.

It is also the first remittance brand to have established 17 outlets on the Dubai Metro network.
