The Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate has warned that motorists booked for dangerous driving during the forthcoming 43rd National Day celebrations face suspension of their vehicles for a month besides a fine of Dh2,000 and 12 black points

Abu Dhabi Police said in a statement that it has prepared a comprehensive traffic plan for the National Day holidays under the slogan ‘Celebrate Spirit of the Union Without Irregularities’ to ensure public safety.

Brigadier Hussein Ahmed Al Harthy, Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the plan includes intensification of police patrols in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region, in addition to oversight by radars to monitor any violation of traffic law and controls on decorating vehicles.

He explained that the directorate has set conditions for decorating vehicles during the National Day celebrations from November 22 to December 6, which will be published in the coming days in the media.
