Ramadan timings: Metro, DHA

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the timings for different services during the holy month of Ramadan in respect of customer service centres, car parks, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit modes, driving institutes, and vehicles testing and registration centres.

Moaza Saeed Al Marri, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: “Modifying the timings of service delivery during the holy month of Ramadan aims at improving various services provided by RTA’s agencies to community members to cope with the change in the daily life routines during the month which are different from the rest days of the year.

“The customer service centres will deliver services at different times from Sunday to Thursday; where Umm Al Ramool, Barsha, Deira and Karama Centres will open from 9am to 2pm, and Tawar, Manara, Awir centers will open from 9am to 5pm, and Jumeirah (JBR) Centre will open from 10am to 3pm.

“As for the timing of activating the paid parking zones in Dubai Emirate, the fee will be activated in all car parks coded A and B, except the Fish Market and Tecom Zone (Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City), and the Knowledge Village, from Saturday to Thursday, from 8am to 1pm, and from 7pm to 12 midnight. The fee will be activated in the Fish Market coded E throughout the week from 8am to 1pm, and from 4pm to 11pm. Tecom and Knowledge Village parking coded F will have the fee system activated from 8am to 6pm from Saturday to Thursday. The fee will remain active in the multi-level parking terminals 24 hours a day,” explained Al Marri.

Detailing the service timing of Dubai Bus, the Director of RTA Customers Service, she said: “The bus service will be run from June 18 to July 17 this year as follows:  In the main stations such as Gold Souk and Ghubaiba, the service will start at 5am and end at 12 midnight. In subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais, Satwa, Al Quoz Industrial, and Jebel Ali, the service will operate from 5.40am to 10.30pm, and in other stations from 5am to 12.30am (past midnight), except for Route C01; which is operating around-the-clock.

“Metro Feeder Stations, such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirate, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa-Dubai Mall, Abu Hail and Etisalat stations, will start business at 5.15am and close at 12.30 am (past midnight) from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 5.15am to 1.1 am (of the following day) on Thursday and Friday. It is noteworthy that the operation of all metro stations feeder bus service will be matching to the timing of the metro service hours.

“From June 18 to July 17 this year, commercial transport and inter-city bus services will be operational as follows: Main stations, such as Ghubaiba, will be operational 24-hours a day, and subsidiary stations, such as the Union Square, Sabkha, will start service at 5.30 am and continue to 12 (midnight). Deira City Centre, and Karama stations will operate from 6.10am up to 10.15 pm. External stations, such as Sharjah (Jubail) will be open 24-hours a day, Abu Dhabi Station will operate from 5am to 12.30am (past midnight), Fujairah station will be open from 5.55am until 9.30pm, Ajman station will be open from 6am to 10pm, and Hatta station will operate from 5.30am up to 9.30pm,” she explained.

“As for the metro service timing, all stations on the Red Line will open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5.30am to 12am (midnight). On Thursday the service will be from 5.30am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 1 pm to 1 am (of the following day). All stations on the Green Line will open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5.50 am to 12 midnight, on Thursday from 5.50am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 1pm to 1am (of the following day),” she noted.

Detailing the timing of the Dubai Tram, Moaza said: “The Dubai Tram will offer service from Saturday to Thursday starting from 6.30 am up to 1.30 am (of the following day), and on Friday the service timing will be from 9am and continue up to 1.30am (of the following day).”

Explaining the timing of the marine transit modes, the Director of RTA of Marketing & Corporate Communication, said: “The weekly schedule of water transit means will be as follows: Water Bus at the Dubai Creek and Marina stations will operate from 12:noon to 12 midnight from Saturday to Thursday. On Friday and public holidays, the service will start at 2pm and continue to 1am (of the following day). The Water Taxi service at the Marina Station will run from 2pm to 10pm, at Ghubaiba Station from 4pm to 10pm, and at the Palm area from 4pm to 10pm. The Dubai Ferry at Ghubaiba Station will operate at 11am and continue up to 6:30pm in a journey from Ghubaiba Station to Marina Station. From the Marina Station a tourist journey will be operated for one hour at 5pm and pass through tourist landmarks of Dubai such as Atlantis Hotel, and the Palm Island. Other journeys will start at 11am and continue up to 6.30pm from Marina to Ghubaiba stations.

“The timing of abra service at Burj Khalifa – Dubai Mall will be from 8pm to 11pm, at Al Mamzar from 8pm to 2am(of the following day), and at Atlantis from 1pm to 9pm.

“Vehicle testing and registration centers will operate on two shifts from Saturday to Thursday. Tamam, Wasel (Jadaf, Arabi Center), Enoc (Tasjeel at Al Qusais, Al Barsha, Jebel Ali, Al Warsan, and Al Tawar), Shamil (at Muhaisna, Nad Al Hamar, Al Adid), Cars, Mumayaz (at Al Mizhar, Hamriya, Al Barsha Mall), Enoc Tasjeel at Hatta, Enoc Head Office, Shamil Head Office, and Speed Fit testing centers will operate in the morning shift from 9am to 3pm, and in the evening shift from 9pm to 12 midnight, Quick Testing Centre will operate in the morning from 8 m to 5pm, and in the evening from 9pm to 3.30am (of the following day), and Shirawi Testing Centre will operate a straight shift only from 9am up 6pm,” said Moaza.

Naturalisation and Residency announces work timings

The Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior has announced work timings for its nationwide departments during the holy month of Ramadan.

There will be two separate shifts – from 9am to 2pm and 2pm to 6pm.

The work timings have been changed from the regular shift of 9am to 6pm in order to ensure the timely delivery of customer transactions, and to avoid work pressures and an overcrowding of customers during the holy month of Ramadan, the statement said.

DHA health facilities timings

The Dubai Health Authority announced on Tuesday the working hours for all DHA hospitals, administration, primary health centres and medical fitness centres during the holy month of Ramadan.

The working hours for DHA administration will be from 9am to 2pm from Sundays to Thursdays.

Timings of DHA hospitals: Hospitals and health centres will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual. The emergency departments of all DHA hospitals will be functional round-the-clock.

In terms of specialist out-patient clinics, Latifa Hospital’s outpatient clinics will be open from Sundays to Thursdays from 9am to 2pm.

Dubai Hospital and Rashid Hospital outpatient clinics will be open from 8am to 1pm and from 1.30pm to 6pm on weekdays.

The Hatta Hospital clinics will be open from 8.30am till 10.30 pm but there will be an Iftar break from 6.45pm until 8.15pm.

Timings of primary healthcare centres:

In primary healthcare centres(PHCs), the Nad Al Hamar and Al Barsha health centres will function round-the-clock on all days. All other DHA primary healthcare centres will be open from 8.30am to 3pm and from 8.30pm to 11.30pm on weekdays. On Saturdays, these PHCs will be open from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

Dental clinics in DHA hospitals will work as per the hospital timings.

The dental clinics in DHA primary healthcare centres will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 8.30am to 3pm and from 8.30pm to 11.30pm.Dental clinics in Nad Al Hamar, Al Barsha and Al Bidaa health centres will remain open from 8.30am to 6pm and from 8.30pm to 11.30pm.

Preventive services in DHA PHCs will remain open from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The gynaecology clinic in DHA PHCs will be open from 9am to 2pm.

Dubai Diabetes Centre’s working hours will be 9am to 1pm on weekdays. The Thalassemia Centre will remain open from 7am to 9.30pm and the Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Centre will be open from 8.30am to 2pm, Dubai physiotherapy services will be available from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

Timings of Medical Fitness Centres:

The Al Muhaisnah centre will be open from Saturday to Wednesday from 4.30am to 4.30pm and from 9pm until 3am. On Thursdays it will be open from 7am to 4.30 pm.

The Rashidiya centre will be closed.

Emirates airlines, Dafza, Al Khawaneej, Al Towar,  Al Safa, Al Badaa, Al Mankhol, Al Quoz, DIFC, Al Lusaily and Al Rashidiya medical fitness centres will remain open from 9am to 2pm on weekdays.

Al Karama and Al Quoz medical fitness centres will be open from 8am to 5pm on weekdays.

Jafza and Knowledge Village medical fitness centres will be open from 8am to 1pm.

Mawaqif and customer care centre timings in Abu Dhabi

The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi has announced Mawaqif timings as well as working hours of its customer care centers during Ramadan.

According to the DoT, Mawaqif parking fees will be applied in Ramadan as follows: Day parking fees from Saturday to Wednesday from 9am to 2pm and night parking fees from Saturday to Wednesday from 9pm to 2.30am. Day Parking fees on Thursday from 9am to 2pm and night parking fees on Thursday from 9pm to midnight. On Fridays, free parking from 12.01am to 8.59am on Saturday morning.

DoT noted that all people attending Tarawih prayers will be exempted from Mawaqif fees in the parking bays surrounding mosques during prayer time, provided that they do not block vehicles or traffic flow. The DoT has also urged the public to adhere to the regulations regarding the resident permit parking bays from 9pm to 8am.

DoT stated the working hours of its customer care centers will be as follows:

Customer care centres in Central Marke (Al Souq Al Markazi), Electra Street, Al Muroor Street and Al Falah Street will work from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 4pm.

DoT HQ customer care centre will work from Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 4pm.

Customer care centres in Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties (ADCP) and Etisalat will open its doors from Sunday to Thursday from 9 amto 2pm.

Dubai Chamber announces Ramadan working hours

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced new working hours for its headquarters, branch and representative offices during Ramadan.

The modified working hours are effective from 1st of Ramadan, at the Chamber head office, Jebel Ali Branch and representative offices in Dubai Airport Free Zone and Al Aweer from 8am to 2pm Sunday to Thursday.

The main office and the Jebel Ali Branch will also be functioning from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays to facilitate the business community complete their important business documentation over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Dubai Chamber’s representative office in Jafz (Building 14) will be operating from 8am to 2pm from Sunday to Thursday.

Pakistan consulate Dubai office announces new Ramadan timing

During the month of Ramadan, Consulate General of Pakistan has changed office timings keeping in view the convenience of the public.

According to the new office timings, the consular service (MRP/Nadra/Manual Passports and Attestation Section) will start at 7am to 1pm from Sunday to Thursday.

While rest of the offices will remain open from 8am to 2pm during working days.
