Earlier on Sunday, the UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology Seismology confirmed with Emirates 24|7 over the “unstable” weather, saying: “There will be rain over some parts of the UAE today, and fishermen or those going out to sea will need to take precautions.”

The NCMS also confirmed that Fujairah and Al Hamra experienced thunderstorms once again, adding that the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be rough due to the storms.

Camping over weekend? Expect rain, chill at 10 deg C in UAE

It’s cloudy with a chance of rainfall over the weekend and if you plan to head outdoors for an overnighter in the mountains, do pack that sweater for a dip in mercury that could hit 10 degrees Celsius. Albeit one less worry would be the fog that reduced visibility to a mere 50 metres on Tuesday, with the UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology confirming that the change in weather would reduce the conditions for increased fog over the western areas, mainly Liwa.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, a spokesperson for NCMS said: “The last two days has seen an increased formation of fog in the western region of the UAE, with visibility at 50m on Tuesday and 800m on Wednesday.

“However, with the change in the wind speed, the conditions for a dense fog formation will greatly reduce, and humidity is expected to rise in lieu of this.”
