The dusty, hazy weather is expected to give way to a spike in humidity levels, with a chance of mist and fog to roll in over the weekend.

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) for the UAE has also forecasted a spike in the Mercury after the country experienced a six-degree drop in temperatures earlier in the week.

The NCMS further stated the weather on Friday will be ‘fair in general’, adding, it would be “partly cloudy at times over some areas. A gradual rise in temperatures is expected. Some clouds will appear by afternoon over the eastern mountains.”

The strong winds that had notched up to 55 kilometres per hour will slow down to be tagged as “light to moderate”, with the NCMS lifting its three-day marine warning to state the sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

However, the discomfort will roll in with the humidity levels rising, with the NCMS stating: “The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some western coastal areas, and fog or mist may form.”

On Saturday, the weather is expected to remain the same as Friday, with the relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some western coastal areas and fog-mist may form.

Meanwhile, across the region, Saudi Arabia continues to battle with hail storms and flooding in parts.

Earlier when quizzed whether the unpredictable weather pattern experienced in the kingdom could stretch to the UAE, NCMS stated it was ‘highly unlikely, but couldn’t be ruled out in its entirety’.

It added: “While it’s unlikely this weather pattern could stretch all the way to the UAE, the towering clouds have stretched to this country’s borders, with Madinat Zayed and surrounding areas in the country experiencing rainfall last Monday.”
