Weather to stay hot, hazy and humid

Dry and hot weather conditions welcomed the holy month of Ramadan across the country as mercury hovered around 44 degrees

Celsius, testing the resilience of outdoor workers.

With August being one the hottest months of the year and forecasters see no immediate change in the conditions, believers brace for one of the toughest Ramadan in more than a decade.

Over the last several days, the maximum humidity was in the range of

45 to 95 per cent and forecasters believe little will change in the next few days, Gulf News reported.

Monday was the first day of Ramadan and roads wore a deserted look.

The traffic flow on the streets was also greatly reduced.

However, most believers looked prepared to endure.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said the weather will be hot and hazy in general across the country. The conditions could grow to partly cloudy over some areas at times, especially in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
