The United Arab Emirates has been rated as the most popular work destination in the Middle East. A new survey by job portal www.naukrigulf.com reveals that the UAE tops the list within the region by a big margin.

More than three-fourths (76 per cent) of the participating jobseekers ranked UAE as their most preferred location to work within Middle East in the Gulf region. This was followed by Qatar with 43 per cent of jobseekers stating the same and another 28 per cent of jobseekers said Saudi Arabia is their most preferred location to work.

“Since KSA, Qatar and the UAE have the highest growth rates in the Gulf, most people seem to be moving towards these economies. The UAE is [on the] top as far as the preference of the expats is concerned, followed by Qatar and by KSA,” Konstantina Sakellariou, Partner, Marketing & Operations Director at Stanton Chase told Emirates 24|7 in an earlier interview.

Previous surveys have also underlined the growing popularity of the UAE among expat professionals globally.

Another recent survey by professional networking site, LinkedIn, put the UAE as the most popular work destination for professionals, globally.

The findings were based on a global study of 300 million members of the site, who see UAE as the biggest talent gainer in one year.

This is the general perception and belief, including the 300 million members who use a website like LinkedIn. And, they believe since the past two years, many professionals from across the world are once again opting to move to the UAE for better work prospects as number of jobs go up with a bigger take home salary than many other countries.

After winning the Expo 2020, UAE’s reputation as a work destination has only become better, with many people across the world believing that the country is poised for further growth in many sectors. This will result in many jobs being created in the market, pushing up employment and more talent coming into the country.
