Wife falls ill, dies on hearing of husband's death

A Saudi woman died because of sadness for her husband who was killed in a road accident a week earlier, the online Alsaudi paper reported on Sunday.

The 30-year-old wife had waited for news about her late husband for several hours before she was told by police he was killed in a car crash in the southwestern town of Jazan, the paper said.

“She collapsed after she could not stand the news of her husband’s death… she was taken to hospital, where her health deteriorated and she died a week later.”
