Woman in love triangle was sacked for flirting

A British woman arrested in Dubai for extra-marital sex was earlier sacked from a job because she was too flirtatious.

Quoting her ex-boss at a property agency in Dubai, Daily Mail on Friday reported that she had to leave the job since the management found her dalliances too dangerous in the country where extra-marital relationships are illegal.

Spencer was released last night – after spending 30 days in a cell with her Brazilian love rival, The Daily Mail reported.

Spencer, 31, had been spending the night with Toby Carroll when his girlfriend model Priscila Ferreira burst in and threatened them at knifepoint.
Carroll called the police and all three were arrested.

Spencer said last night: ‘This is the best feeling, I am so happy to be out at last. I just want a big drink, a soak in a bath and a sleep in a proper bed. That will feel bliss,” she told the British tabloid paper.

Ferreira was said to be still in jail last night because she could not find anyone to provide a passport for her surety.

Amazingly, during their incarceration Danielle Spencer and model Priscila Ferreira became friends.

Spencer has seen her lose her job, and friends say she is resigned to deportation.

The mother of banker Toby Carroll – who was caught with Danielle Spencer – yesterday said her son’s image as a playboy love rat was undeserved.

Beverley Carroll said: ‘He hasn’t done anything that any guy in any other country wouldn’t do. He has slept with a girl, it was sex outside of marriage and there is no other country where that is a crime. I’m extremely proud of my son – he hasn’t done anything wrong.’

Mr Carroll’s former girlfriend Anna Jobsz, left, who dated the New Zealander several years ago, expressed shock at his arrest. Ms Jobsz, 30, said: ‘Toby is a top character and a gentleman in every way.’

In his home city of Auckland others described Mr Carroll as a fun-loving ‘party boy’ who was dedicated to his job. One friend recalled: ‘He was a snappy dresser. His looks were important and he liked women, but he wasn’t a womaniser.’

Mr Carroll moved to Dubai five years ago to forge a career as a £100,000-a-year HSBC analyst. He was released on police bail last week.

The 31-year-old woman, Danielle Spencer, was caught in bed with a banker in what turned out to be a love triangle that went sour.

Then working as a property analyst, it was the banker's ex-girlfriend who caught her in bed with the New Zealander Toby Carroll.

The woman named only as Priscilla had apparently broken up with the banker only a day ago, and was livid at what she found. In a fit of rage, she went about smashing furniture in the room while a terrified Spencer hid in the bathroom.

They were all arrested and have remained in custody since December 12, 2010, the report said.

The ex-boss of Spencer told the newspaper that she was "a Walter Mitty character" who was good at her job but didn't worry about dangerous liaisons.

“She could be extremely flirtatious, both with colleagues and clients,” the British businessman said about Spencer. “Danielle sent me photographs of herself in modelling poses.”
