General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan tours the Sochi Autodrome with Sergey Vorobyev Deputy General Director of Centre Omega OJSC and Russian Grand Prix Promoter (L) in Russia during an official visit (Wam)
General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has visited the Sochi Olympic Park, located on the shores of the Black Sea in Russia, which hosted the Winter Olympics last February.
During the tour of the Olympic park, which was made on the sidelines of his visit to Russia, General Mohamed was accompanied by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Omar Saif Ghobash, Ambassador of the UAE to Russia, and Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
The tour included visiting the park's facilities, including the Sochi Formula 1 Circuit, where Gen. Mohamed met the Deputy General-Director of the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix, Sergey Vorobyev, who explained the technical specifications and modern techniques used in the 5.8 km circuit, which can accommodate 55,000 spectators.
