Gen Mohammed gets Qatari note for Khalifa

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan receives a message from the Emir of Qatar (Wam)

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received a message from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, dealing with bilateral ties and latest regional and international developments.

Sheikh Mohammed got the note when he welcomed on Monday Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah at the Emirates Palace.

Sheikh Mohammed and the Qatari minister exchanged cordial talks and discussed a variety of issues of mutual interests and ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation that bind them under the umbrella of the GCC.

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, and Abdullah Mohammed Al Othman, Qatari Ambassador to the UAE, attended the meeting.

Receives oil and gas leaders participating at Adipec

The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed  Al Nahyan, attaches significant importance to delivery of safe, secure oil and gas supplies to the world energy markets for stimulating world economic growth, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, affirmed on Monday.

Sheikh Mohammed said during a meeting at Al Bahr Palace with CEOs senior executives of oil and gas companies participating in the 16th session of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (Adipec), which kicked off yesterday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), that the UAE was pumping huge investment in advanced, environmental-friendly technology to reap environmental and economic returns that power comprehensive development.

Present were Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouie, Minister of Energy, and Abdullah Nasser Al Suwaidi, Director General of Adnoc.

Sheikh Mohammed was updated by the industry leaders on the advanced energy technology on display along with current and future programmes and plans and their future vision for addressing challenges the industry  is experiencing.

Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that the UAE was keen to enhance its role in the global oil and gas industry and actively contribute to finding solutions to challenges the industry is facing through platforms for exchanging views, expertise and best practices.

The UAE, he noted,  has not only developed the oil and gas sector, but also launched a series of projects for clean and renewable energy to satisfy the growing demand for energy, on one hand, and achieve  sustainable development that preserves the environment, on the other hand.

He stressed the importance of researches and studies on energy and of establishing creative economic projects and  partnerships for modernising the energy industry to ensure better future to our next generations.

For their part, leaders of the energy industry recognised the importance of Adipec as an international important, influential platform for discussing challenges and creative ideas for developing and modernising the oil and gas industry as well as showcasing the latest innovative solutions and services.

Supported by the Ministry of Energy and Adnoc,  Adipec is bringing together more than 1400 exhibitors and 16 national pavilions from more than 80 countries.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA) Authority, attended the meeting.

Receives Brazilian Vice-President

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received on Monday at Al Bahar Palace, Michel Temer, Vice- President of Brazil and discussed with him bilateral relations and ways to enhance them.

Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE was keen on building special relations with Brazil and stressed the importance of mutually benefiting from the existing opportunities and potentials for partnerships and joint projects.

Sheikh Mohammed and Temer discussed means to boost economic and commercial cooperation.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and reviewed issues of mutual interest.

The Brazilian Vice-President said he was pleased to visit the UAE and meet with Sheikh Mohamed.
He added that he was impressed with the progress made by the UAE in all fields.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Suroor bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
