Gen Mohammed meets Centcom head

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today, the visiting Commander of the US Central Command (Centcom), General Lloyd J. Austin.

The Crown Prince welcomed General Austin and discussed with him cooperation, bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them in the joint interest of the two friendly countries, especially in with regards to defence cooperation and coordination.

They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, in addition to a number of issues of joint interest.

Among those who attended the meeting were Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, other senior military officials and the US Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Michael Corbin.

Mohammed bin Zayed receives Finnish defence official

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today at his Majlis in Al Bahr Palace the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Finland, Arto Raty.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince welcomed Raty and discussed with him the existing friendly relations and ways to enhance them for the benefit of the UAE and Finland.

They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, joint coordination and exchanging of expertise in the defence field between the two countries.

They exchanged views on regional and international developments, in addition to a number of issues of mutual interest.

Among those who attended the meeting were, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a number of other ministers, senior officials, the Finnish accompanying delegation and Ilkka-Pekka Simila, Finnish Ambassador to UAE.
