Hamdan endorses Dubai grievances panel

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has endorsed Resolutions No. 41 and 42 of 2015, on the Central Grievances Committee for Dubai Government employees.

The move is within the framework of the committee to upgrade work and enhance efficiency in a way that reflects on the work style in a clear manner when taking a decision on a grievance. It also aims to keep abreast with the developments in the field of public jobs in order to entrench the principles of good governance characterised with thinking and innovation based on master planning, directing, evaluation and accountability processes.

Resolution No. 41 specifies the objectives of the committee in giving employees the opportunity to file grievances regarding final administrative decisions that impact their job status, and as a result ensuring justice, employee satisfaction and job stability.

The committee will look into the grievances filed by employees regarding disciplinary action taken against them and performance appraisal reports, as well as grievances regarding terminations or suspensions. The resolution also specifies the committee’s mechanisms for carrying out its duties.

Resolution No. 42 stipulates setting up of the committee under the chairmanship of Khalfan Ahmad Hareb, while Nasser Butti Al Shamsi will serve as Deputy Chairman. Members of the board include Mariam Ali Al Falahi, and representatives from General Secretariat of the Dubai Executive Council, Supreme Legislation Committee and the Human Resources Department.

Hamdan appoints Saif as CEO of Dubai Foundation for Museum of Future

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future, has issued a resolution appointing Saif Abdullah Al Aulaili as Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s decision reflects his support for the development of national talent and the recruitment of young Emiratis to give them an opportunity to participate in Dubai’s development.

The resolution follows Law No (19) of 2015 issued by Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on the establishment of the Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future and Decree No (27) of 2015, on the formation of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Prior to the new appointment, Saif Al Aulaili held several positions in government.

He has been serving in the Prime Minister’s Office since 2014.

He also previously served as Director of Special Projects Departments at the General Secretariat, Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

In his previous roles, Al Aulaili has supervised several strategic initiatives.

He is a Member of the Organising Committee of the Government Summit, Senior Coordinator of UAE Drones for Good Award and UAE AI & Robotics Award for Good

Al Aulaili holds Masters Degree in Finance and a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering apart from several professional certificates.

The Dubai Foundation for the Museum of the Future is a non-profit research institution dedicated to science and the future of innovation and exploring the next generation of technology.

The foundation serves as an international platform for developing scientific and innovative solutions to address the developmental challenges of cities of the future. The Foundation also aims to increase social awareness on the importance of innovation and contribute to encouraging inventors locally, regionally and internationally.
