Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, accompanied by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, visited the headquarters of Dubai Land Department (DLD).

During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan toured the offices of the department and was briefed on the performance and functions of each department. He listened to an employee who gave him an outline about the nature of her work at a counter in the department as she explained the quality and number of transactions she carries out for clients during her shift.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, gave a presentation to the Crown Prince of Dubai on the services provided by the land department to its clients across 25 customer service centres throughout Dubai, each working for 12 hours a day to ensure access for all customers, and providing them with the best services and saving time and effort for them.

Sheikh Hamdan and his entourage were briefed on the contents of the museum, which includes old records and property deeds, other papers and old documents of the department since its inception.

Sheikh Hamdan was also briefed on the smart system for Real Estate Registration, a system that allows for some approved real estate offices to register real estate key actions through multiple locations and subsidiaries operating outside normal working hours.

The Dubai Crown Prince noted the leading role of the department in promoting real estate investment in Dubai and consolidating its position as the best destination for investment in the region and the world.

Sheikh Hamdan gave instructions to staff to continue their efforts in developing the department's performance and to provide superior service to customers.
