Khalifa, Mohammed receive Qatar Emir

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, who is visiting the country as part of a tour of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain city on Thursday.

Also present at the meeting were His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, and General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and the accompanying delegation and wished him success in leading the country towards further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation and development of relations between the UAE and Qatar for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen the march of the GCC states and the latest developments and current situation in the region.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad expressed his happiness to visit the UAE and meet with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and his pride in the strong brotherly relations and developments in relations between the UAE and Qatar within the framework of the GCC's blessed march, and to serve the interests of "our brothers in the GCC".

He stressed the need to achieve greater cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries to face the challenges in the region.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad expressed his admiration and appreciation for the experience and cultural development achieved by the UAE, led by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wishing the UAE further progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Tamim confirmed at the end of the meeting the importance of the continuation of meetings, consultation and coordination between the two countries and between the GCC countries, thus contributing to the strengthening of security and stability in the region.

Sheikh Khalifa bestowed the Zayed Medal to Sheikh Tamim as the embodiment of the depth of the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The Emir of Qatar expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for giving him the Zayed Medal and for the good and warm reception and hospitality for the accompanying delegation, wishing Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan good health and happiness and for the UAE further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness.

Also present were Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying the Emir of Qatar, Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President and a number of senior officials.

Khalifa, Mohammed receive Egyptian President

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday received Adly Mansour, President of Egypt, who is on an official visit to the country, at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain.

The meeting took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai , and Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative.

Khalifa welcomed the Egyptian President and the delegation accompanying him, hailing the fraternal relations between the two countries.

President Mansour briefed the UAE President on implementation of the roadmap to achieve political, security and economic stability in Egypt. The Egyptian President expressed his admiration of the prosperity being experienced by the UAE.

Sheikh Khalifa wished Egypt progress and prevalence of security and stability, noting that Egypt represents one of the focal points of stability in the region.

The delegation accompanying the Egyptian President includes Nabil Famy, Foreign Minister, a number of senior officials and Ehab Hammoda, Egyptian ambassador-designate to the UAE.

Mohammed bin Zayed meets Egyptian President

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met on Thursday  Adly Mansour, President of Egypt, who is on an official visit to the country.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed the Egyptian President in his second country, the UAE, expressing his happiness on the visit, which comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation relations between the UAE and Egypt.

He also wished for Egypt further progress, development and welfare as well as achieve stability, security and developmental in the next period.

Sheikh Mohammed and President Mansour reviewed the existing bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in various fields in the best interest of the two fraternal countries and peoples.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi hosted a banquet in honour of Mansour and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior,  Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Hadef bin Jowan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, the head of the honour mission accompanying the Egyptian President, Mohammad bin Nakhira Al Dahiri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt.

Nabil Fahmy, Egyptian Foreign Minister and others also attended the event.
