Maktoum receives Visa CEO

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), on Monday received Visa CEO Charles Scharf and the delegation accompanying him, at the Dubai Executive Council.
 
Sheikh Maktoum expressed his happiness at the visit, highlighting the constructive efforts being exerted to accomplish the vision of the wise leadership aimed at providing an ideal work environment and develop infrastructure to keep pace with international standards to attract global financial companies to the emirate.
 
During the meeting, they tackled Visa's latest developments and achievements, its future plans to develop Visa Innovation Centre based in Dubai Internet City (DIC) and serve the Middle East and Africa. They also discussed the company's relentless efforts to support the strategy to transform Dubai into a smart city.
 
On his part, Scharf hailed the efforts of Dubai Government aimed at creating an attractive atmosphere by providing all facilitations to financial and banking institutions. He also expressed his satisfaction at the development witnessed by the emirate in all domains.
 
Among those who attend the meeting were Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Abdullah Al-Shibani. Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council, and Dubai International Financial Centre Governor, Essa Kazim.
