Mohamed: Determined to deter aggressors

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Friday, extended condolences to the family of Emirati serviceman, Ali Khamis Ayed Al Ketbi, who was martyred while participating in ‘Operation Restoring Hope’ conducted by the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen.

During a visit to the martyr's mourning majlis in Al Dhaher area in Al Ain City, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stressed that "the martyrdom of our brave soldiers makes us even more determined to continue to stand for our brothers to deter aggressors and all those plotting against our region and people, and thwart their conspiracies, destructive machinations and attempts to damage the security and stability of this region."

He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the martyr with mercy in Paradise and to bestow patience and solace upon his family.

His Highness further stressed that "Emirati martyrs wrote glorious chapters in history and made the biggest sacrifices to defend righteousness and fight aggression against their Yemeni brothers.

"Their endeavour culminated in utmost pride and their sacrifices have become shining milestones in history."

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reiterated that "the United Arab Emirates and its brave soldiers will always remain loyal to the Arab Nation and make sincere efforts to defend the soil of Arab countries against any threats and dangers."

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his sincere sympathies to the family of the martyr.

Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of the Court of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.

Poems glorifying the country's martyrs and their defence of their Arab brothers and expressing Emirati's love and loyalty to their country and leaders were read out at the mourning majlis.
