Mohammed at last game of UAE leg of Indian Premier League

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended on Wednesday evening the last game in the UAE leg of the IPL 2014 Cricket Championship at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Sheikh Mohammed was greeted by  fans as he watched the match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the end of the championship's UAE leg with the India leg scheduled to start later this week.

Present were Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Matar Mohammed Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, director general of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department and a number of UAE and Indian officials.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was glad to attend this thrilling encounter in Dubai which attracted a huge numbers of fans.

He wished all competing teams pleasant stay in Dubai and success in the championship.

Mohammed bin Rashid writes to Egyptian PM

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has sent a letter to the Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehlib.

The letter was delivered by the Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office Mona Ghanem Al Marri during her meeting with Ibrahim Mehlib today.

The Egyptian Prime Minister asked Al Marri to pass on his greetings to Sheikh Mohammed and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE.

Al Marri thanked the Ibrahim Mehlib for his keenness to strengthen ties between the two fraternal countries.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Saif Al Tunaiji, Deputy Ambassador of the UAE to Cairo and Mona Abu Samra, Director of Dubai Press Club.
